To him, it was vital to understand what adventures had already been created, the parameters of the EU, and which bad ideas it was prudent to stay away from. The next step was to watchĮvery Star Wars movie, read every book and comic book about the Expanded Universe and even sitting through The Star Wars Holiday Special. He began with determining what was considered fun in the gameplay elements and what kind of story would have to be developed to complement those elements. Chris Avellone, Lead designer for the project, felt that it would be a challenging task to create a sequel to what he felt was an amazing story that BioWare had developed for the original Knights of the Old Republic and that there would be a lot of pressure created for the team. From the beginning, the production team had decided that the general atmosphere of the universe would be much darker than in Knights of the Old Republic and that the situation for the Jedi would be grim. The raid we are getting is definitly kotor 2 as that’s the only spot those characters are." The first story draft was pretty terrible, mostly because we weren't allowed to play K1 before drafting it, so we really knew nothing about the first game and were writing in the dark (Revan who?)." ― Chris Avellone, Lead Designer for The Sith Lords at Obsidian Entertainment, talking about story development ĭevelopment of The Sith Lords began at approximately the same time that the original Knights of the Old Republic was released for the Xbox, on July 15, 2003. I hoped for swtor because that opens up a lot of other characters I want however it looks like we got original versions of those characters ie kotor 2 not the storm mmorpg versions. The versions we got appear to be from Kotor 2. You say that and yes they are in swtor to a degree. It would be really nice to have a dark side raid reward character though. But now I’d really suspect a meetra like reward. If he had been from swtor I would have suspected a different reward. I initially thought the Sith Marauder was from swtor but it appears I was quite wrong. It would need to be someone from that story. IE, gk is from the clone war era and Han Solo fits very well into the rancor raid. I don’t see it super likely thy would give us a reward that wasn’t part of that raids lore. Meetra would make a good reward for this. It's possible they didn't want to put out two versions each of these unnamed characters, so went with the later versions, which look cooler. Im pretty sure HK is from are from the first game? Haven’t played but I know some stuff? Im a geek. Have you tried it yet (with Thrawn?) If so, how is it working? Was considering this same set-up after I build it up myself. ShoreTrooper or Thrawn in place of Sith Marauder for now. No real need for speed as he doesn’t need to go quickly and he will gain 5% TM everytime an enemies debuff expires. Stack him deep with health and protection. Palps leader gives 35% max health and he recovers 20% health when inflicting a debuff. His basic has a 70% chance to inflict defense down Starts w/ D up and then gains taunt when a sith uses a special and retribution when a sith ally uses a special ability while he has taunt. Gains 5% protection up for each debuffed enemy when he uses his special. Starts with 100% defense and gains Defense up for 2 turns at the beginning of the encounter. Traya is cool, but they don't really need a Sith healer as much as they need a tank This would be the perfect way to roll out Darth Malak, Darth Malgus or, dare I hope, Darth Revan. Sith Maurader/Warrior (I think? Hard to find reference) In fact, none if the old republic toons are from KOTOR 1 (exclusively). However Sion, Nihilus, Traya were all from KOTOR 2, noticibly not 1. Mauradet is without a doubt from SWTOR, as well as trooper. I'd say the assassin while not a copy, is stylized more from SWTOR than KOTOR. The classed existed, but the abilities and likenesses are from SWTOR for both. Sith Marauder and Sith Assassin were both in KOTOR2 as well. Sith Trooper, Sith Assassin and Sith Marauder are all SWTOR OG Sith Empire, noone in Revan’s Sith Empire looked like that.
